Cremated remains should be inspected by the TSA at the safety checkpoint and can’t be accepted as checked baggage by Southwest Airlines. Southwest Airlines recommends the transport of stays in a brief plastic or cardboard container that is usually provided by the crematorium to make sure the merchandise can be cleared by X-ray screening . If a remains container can’t be screened, it is not permitted past the security checkpoint in carryon baggage and must not be placed in checked baggage. Pets usually are not allowed to journey in-cabin on worldwide flights or any itinerary that includes a world flight.
